The first time I saw you commanding a fleet, you were trying to complete sortie 1-4. That was your first time going up against abyssal carriers. When I saw your fleet valiantly fighting against the abyssals, and your goofy victory dance afterwards, my world was changed. I was ecstatic when you assigned me to your first fleet. But how would I ever come to talk to you? Maybe I could go and devour your bauxite storage everyday till you noticed me? After all you and your BBs seems so tightly knit.
When I was still being built, I knew something was wrong with my hull. They told me I was going to be a capital BB! I always wanted to face the enemies head on. But they altered my blueprint and made me a CV. I was in and out of the dry docks all the time because I was always getting damaged.
One night I saw the repair fairies crying in the hallway, that's when I realised I don't have much time left.
That's when I started running.
I didn't want to bring regrets into heaven. I was sacred of night battles, but I pursued the enemies anyway. I ate what I wanted instead of worrying about my displacement.
And then I told a single lie, just one 'Akagi likes eating bauxite' And that lie brought you to me.
Please apologise to Kongou for me, I didn't want to leave an awful mess behind. I could never just ask her 'please introduce me to the Teitoku.' After all, Kongou is heads over heels in love with you. Everyone knew that.
Remember attempting all those events last year? After all those sorties we really thought we could find Saratoga. And that time you scolded me for consuming all the bauxite in storage? You were so mad you didn't come back for a whole day. The most unforgettable scenes are always the most trivial, don't you agree?
